Isn't the round tube spar part of the Q-200 LS-1 canard?
I believe the Q-2 canard is made the same as the wing, multiple layers of
glass... but I could be wrong.

Maybe with a Tri-Q type of gear, otherwise it's perhaps too thin to support
the full weight of the plane with the wheels outboard. That was the reason
for going to the pre-manufactured spar.
