Thanks for the compliments Jonathan.
While I'd love to sell the entire collection of back issues, with rare
exception, I've pretty much outlined all the articles that are Q-1 worthy.
Although I'm sure that anyone with an interest in alternative engines can
learn from (and enjoy) virtually article ever printed (in our magazine), the
former editor/publisher wasn't into low-and-slow or nor air-cooled, so you
won't find much, if any, in the way of small engines from issue #1 through
#71.
I took over with #72. Issue #86 is being mailed today and tomorrow. It
features a small article on some Hirth advancements, including an all
composite (carbon fiber/graphite) piston and ring set.
Issue #87 will be out for SnF and will be a special all-rotary issue, which
will feature the equivalent of a 1/2 13B, potentially suitable for Q-1 use.
He designed the engine for an Avid Flyer.
Unlike the past editor, I plan to keep an eye out for the whole spectrum of
alternative power for experimental aircraft... from powerful, water-cooled V
engines to single piston air-cooled and EVERYTHING in between.
Hope this helps.
