Q1_Aircraft: engine

I would like swap the Onan for a 40-50 hp 2 or 4 stroke engine. I'm
concerned about w&b and airframe reinforcement. I would like to get
input on engine mfg's, prop and gearbox combos, and info on
dealer/dist network. Thanks.

Hi Keith,

There are plenty of engines out there if money is not an issue. I
used the 4 cylinder VW engine because it is the most proven auto
engine for homebuilts and it is econimical.
Have you looked at the 'PHOTOS' section of my conversion?
