We now have a Quickie to bolt our motor to. Anyone who cares may
remind me to keep it simple and don't try to reinvent too much so it
will fly soon.I'd really like tri-gear given time.

I, like many other, are intrested in this concept. ... and it has been done
before.
(not trying to be a smarty pants here)
I remember doing a Sport Aviation search in the EAA member section and
remember finding a man in CA who had installed and flown one of the little
Continentals in a Q1
(he was in the 'what our members are building' section).

OK, I do have a question.
1.) I could be totally wrong, but I seem to recall there were at least two
basic versions of that engine. One had pressure lubrication while another model
was splash lubrication. Do you know of any of this?

Best of luck, ... OH! By the way, I did call the man and he seemed very
pleased
with his instulation. The engine being narrower than a VW required only
small blisters and didn't create a drag issue or create turbulence for the
alerons(SP?)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Gene

Gene,

I'm only aware of the pressure lubed model.

If you know how to get a hold of the guy in Ca. I'd love to have a speak with
him.
