Ryan,
Thanks for your reply. I purchased my Q from the original builder. It
was completed in June of 1982, if I remember correctly. Kari flew the
aircraft for approx. 30 hours before developing a heart condition
that grounded him. As a result the plane sat in storage until I
acquired it from him 3 years ago. The aircraft was built to plans and
used the Onan engine. I have widened the cockpit, rebuilt the canopy
and raised the turtledeck 3' for additional headroom. The engine will
not have a starter, but will have a Great Plains 20amp alternator. I
have a 52' ground adjustable, Precision Propellors 2 blade prop. A
few pictures have been uploaded for those who are interested. I'll
add some more as time permits.

Jeff,

I have posted a photo of my new firewall that has been set back 3'
for W&B, because of the heavier VW engine.
I flew it before but had to carry ballast in the tail.
