And by the way. Solan's Mosler (that I have) has 92mm cylinders in it for
appx 35hp.

He was/is so conserative he didnt want to take out the extra metal in the
case to install 94's

HE now says 94's would be great.

Food for thought

Gene

Replied by davedrosen on topic Q1_Aircraft: Re: HEXADYNE VS ULTRAVAIR - footnote

All,
I have an open mind as far as engines go. I am committed as far as a
motor mount, but I'd rather toss it than loose almost $9K. I didn't
think Mosler was in business any more. Does anyone kit the 1/3 corvair
. I don't think I'm up to a whole mechanical R&D mission. By the way,
that super quickie built by Tom S. is very sweet. I'm open to
suggestion and won't be committed till I pay. I also understood the
Onan was under powered. Is it still available as it was then? I will
keep all posted as to what I hear from other users of the hexadyne.
Thanks,
Dave R.

Dave, good to see you still are thinking about your power plant. Let's
all keep digging around and see what we can come up with. The whole
idea of this design originally was to have a simple, inexpensive,
cheap on gas flying machine that looked futuristic. The design still
looks that way to me every time I see any tandem wing flying.
Keep it up people!
