Hey Member, Lately there has been a dramatic drop-off in the number of submissions to the newsletter. This has led me to the conclusion that perhaps a "newsletter" (and its bi-monthly frequency) have become a little outdated, especially since the "News" is usually stale by the time you hear it from me. In an era of instant communications, it seems a little silly to have to wait 2 months to hear about someone's first flight, or progress made on a build.
To make a long story short, I think it's high time for me to wrap up the newsletter (in its current form) and use the time I gain to create better online communication tools for us to share ideas! I fully intend to keep the website going, and I would like to find some programming partners to make it even better.
In addition, I will continue archiving information as I receive it, and using my drafting skills to draw any of the pieces that are still missing.
I expect the last issue of Q-talk to be the December 2014 issue. (That will make a continuous run of 32 years!)
Your $20 annual QBA membership will grant you access to the entire newsletter archive, and any new tools we develop. I envision the site being more "social," with easy methods to share videos, pictures, and text instantaneously! I am envisioning the Q-list on steroids, and I invite your suggestions!
If you have any questions, please reply to this e-mail, and I will do my best to answer them. In the meantime enjoy this issue.
Remember, "Together we build better planes," and newsletters! But . . . It takes a village!
Warm regards, Dan Yager QBA Editor www.quickheads.com
