This is an engine shot of Keith Welsh's Ottawa award winner Q-1. Keith won "BEST OVERALL QUICKIE" and as you can see from this photo, it was well deserved.
Here's a view of Les Hildebrand's handy engineering of his tail attachment.
John Spurling had his 110 hp HIRTH fired Q2 unwrapped for all to see. The three gawkers around John's plane are Q1 builder/pilots Keith Welsh, Jim Masal and Terry Crouch (with his back to us). Are they thinking? "WHAT IF?"
