Hour 76 - Main Tank Clean-up

{flv}construction/hour076{/flv}

"OK this is gonna' suck!" That's what was going through my head when I looked at the bottom of where my main tank used to be.  It looks like the original builder tried to "fuel proof" the tank by coating the entire interior with polyurethane varnish.

Last I heard, gasoline makes an excellent paint thinner, so I'm not exactly sure what he had in mind when he came up with this idea.  At any rate, I need to sand all of that back out, and I'll probably need to put a layer of BID on the bottom of the tank to ensure that everything is sealed properly.

So in this video I am starting the long process of snading out all of that crap!  Should be fun. . . NOT!   Undecided
