12th Annual Field of Dreams Tandem Wing Fly-in Registration

Coffey county Airport - Burlington, ks ? Friday - Sunday, September 27th, 28th & 29th, 2002

Where: Coffey County Airport is 90 miles southwest of Kansas City just off Interstate 35. Turn south off of 1-35 at the 155-mile marker/exit onto Highway 75. Go 8 miles south on Highway 75, airport on east side.

Event Funding: This is a self-funding event with the expenses to be shared. Pre-registration is requested so we can properly plan for the number of tables and chairs needed, food for Friday's Arrival BBQ and Saturday night's awards banquet, etc. Event registration is $9.00 per person / kids under 12 are free. Registration fees are non-fundable after September 20th.

Awards Banquet & BBQ fees: We'll collect the fees for the Friday night BBQ at that time, approx $5.00 per person, ages 7 to 12 $2.50, ages 6 and under free. The Saturday night award's banquet is $13.00 per adult, kids ages 7 to 12 is $6.50 each and free for ages 6 & under. Award Banquet fees are non-fundable after September 20th.

Camping information: Camping is free at this event. There is in a nice semi-sheltered area for the people in tents. There are multiple shower facilities available at no charge. Motor homes, truck/campers are welcome and will have designated area for parking where they can run generators.

Ground Transportation: For those that fly in, there will be two courtesy vans for transportation to and from the Burlington motels and to the awards banquet, plus a host of people that have drove in will be more than glad to assist.

Our FBO hosts: Coffey County Airport commissioners, Darrin Isch and Dale Guimond are our FBO hosts at this fine airport. They have really rolled out the red carpet for us. They have supplied us with an indoor meeting room for our forums. Hangar space is available for those that would want to park inside for the night or for all if the weather turns bad. Fuel prices were $1.78 a gallon including all sales taxes as of 7-8-02. Lefs keep this airport as spotless as we can and buy fuel from them during the event and before we leave for home.

On site food services: Bob & Pat Horn and their "Chuck Wagon" will be available from mid Friday afternoon through late Sunday morning to provide food and beverage services. They will be serving breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.

Awards: Awards plaques will be presented at the Saturday night award's banquet in four categories for both Quickies and Dragonflys.
