Still working on that spreadsheet guys. I'm looking for data/choices though -
I'll post a litst below of what I'm looking at, and if you have anything else
you can think of you want me to try and add in ther, let me know and I'll do my
best.

BMW R-100
Cayuna
Continental A-65
Geo Metro
Hexadyne P-60
Hirth
Industrial V-twins
Jabiru 2200
Jabiru 3300
Kawasaki
McCulloch
Midwest Aero
Onan
Righter
Rotax
Sachs
Suzuki
Teledyne 4A084
Ultravair
1/2 VW (28, 32, 37, 45 hp)
VW (1600, 1835, 2180, 2400 cc)

And here's the data I'm looking to try and compile (bear with me - I know
flying weight and prop choices affect some of this stuff - but hopefully we'll
be ball park on everything and can then make some HALF-ways intelligent
comparisons.)

HP
RPM for max HP
Prop reduction (yes/no)
Prop Rpm
Fuel burn (gph)
Weight
4-stroke vs 2 stroke
TBO
cost
rate of climb
max airspeed
availability (very subjective, and I'm open to criticism here)

In fact - ALL of this data will be open to criticism and correction.

Anything else you all think I ought to try and include?

Thanks!

Jonathan

Subject: [Q1_Aircraft] Tandem Wing Fly-in

Just a reminder...

The Mountain States Tandem Wing Fly-in is only three weeks away!

www.mountainstatesfly-in.com

Flights to Las Vegas from just about anywhere are still cheap.
The airport at Jean NV (where the event is held) is only 20 miles south of
McCarran (LV international).

Replied by Jonathan Kuehne on topic Q1_Aircraft: Re: [Q1_Aircraft] Quickie Powerplant options
Oh - let me add to the list

Konig
Citroen
Revmaster
Lotus
Global
Rotorway RW100
SP440 Rotary

(I've only found a FEW notations on some of these - they may not really even be
legitimate choices)

BTW - has anyone ever tried to collate the builder's tips into a single manual?
Kind of a 'Best Of QuickTalk' kind of thing? I would think a single book that
included items such as a chapter on the LS canard, a chapter on trailering the
Quickie, a chapter on epoxy choices and safety, plans for hot-wire cutters,
jigging options, fuselage 'stand', front hinged canopy option, hydraulic brake
sytem ideas, tri-gear or inboard mounted main gear options, etc. etc. etc would
be really useful. You know - all the stuff that's been tried and WORKED and
really improved on the original.

Just thinking out loud - Thanks for listening!

Jonathan
