The guy that designed the conversion (Fletcher Burns)is a friend of mine and has
several hours flying behind it on two aircraft. Another buddy built one and flew
it on a Legal Eagle but doesn't have but a couple hrs on it. He is very happy
with the smoothness and the performance.
I have one about half built. Takes about the same kind of hrs that it takes to
build a cut case VW . The heads have more fins (than a VW) so the cooling is
better.

I know a couple of people were looking at the Ultravair, too - has anyone
actually put one together and flown with it? The manual is well done - and the
project seems eminently doable for anyone who can build an aircraft...

Now I'm gonna have to go check out that BMW site.
