FedEx Success!

The Old Template Over the New
Here you can see that the old templates were getting a little yellow from age.

Well you can probably tell from the title of this post that I successfuly printed one of the large Q-2 templates using the print-on-demand function of the FedEx Kinko's website.  The transaction was similar to the one yesterday at Office Depot with a few nice exceptions.  I was able to upload the file fine to their website, however I was unable to slect a paper size.  For large format print jobs, all you have to do is upload the PDF file(s), add instructions in the comments area, and select a store near you to print it.  You're not even required to pay for the print until you pick it up!  Pretty cool!

When I finished the upload I received a confirmation e-mail letting me know that I should call the local store in 30 minutes to ensure that the job had uploaded successfully.  (What a novel concept after yesterday's fiasco!)  At any rate, I didn't have to wait 30 minutes, because about five minutes after I uploaded the file, someone from the local store called me, confirmed my order, quoted me a price, and let me know that the print would be available for pickup in about 15 minutes!  That was awesome!

I ran over on my lunch break to pick up the print and it came out beautifully.  The only problem that I noticed was that the border I had made around the images to allow people to verify that there was no distortion had been outside of the paper's printable area, and had been cropped off.  (I'll move the border inside the print area later tonight.)

When I got the print home, I laid it flat on top of the original Appendix Sheet #1 and was extremely pleased to see that the print matched the original perfectly with no distortion.  At any rate, I am now making the Large Q-2 Templates available for sale immediately.  I can also highly recommend FedEx Kinko's print-on-demand service to print the templates.

Kinko's is a little more expensive than Office Depot at 75 cents per square foot.  But unlike Office Depot, you'll only need to pay for the area that is printed intead of the whole sheet of paper, so I was actually able to spend about the same amount of money (about $14) for the print, and it was actually at the shop when I went to pick it up!  (Unlike Office depot.)

So far I have Appendix Sheets 1 and 2 available for immediate download upon successful payment, and I will be making the other 4 templates available as time permits.  I'll probably have the rest finished by the end of next week.  Have a look and let me know what you think.

I hope you'll find these useful.  Please let me know by leaving your comments below.

The new template perfectly matches the old one
I can see through the "Bond Paper" which allowed me to verify that the templates were 100% accurate.
