Issue 155

Hey Member,
The weather is starting to get colder. This usually means that flying opportunities become less frequent. However, modifications and construction usually ramp up as we all hunker down in our "man caves" for the winter.

I am encouraged by the number of projects being dragged into their caves by new owners. Like this Tri-Q recently purchased by Shane Gilmour:

Winter also brings with it a terrific opportunity to catch up on your reading. Since the last newsletter, I have added all of Tom Moore's newsletters to the online archive. That means we now have nearly 20 year's worth of back issues archived online for your winter reading pleasure. Q-talk 84 through 155 are now available to paid QBA members . . . 24 hours a day . . . 7 days a week.

In addition, Doug Humble and Tom Moore recently became vendors in the QBA store. This means that all of their issues are also available for purchase and instant PDF download. (Or if you prefer, you can order printed copies directly from them.)

I received some great submissions for this newsletter and even a couple for the next. As you hunker down for the winter in your "man cave," I hope you'll take the time to document the work you're doing and share what you've learned. I will continue to publish this newsletter for as long as you all support it with quality submissions.

For now, sit back . . . relax and enjoy this issue of Q-talk. I hope all of you are enjoying the shorter days and longer nights, and the extra time at home with your loved ones. I look forward to hearing from all of you soon.

Remember, "Together we build better planes" (and newsletters.)

Warm regards,
Dan Yager

Rumor Squashing

I heard some rumors through the grapevine, and most of them were NOT true! Here is a rehash of what I said on the Q-list last month in case you missed it!

Confirmation Bias?

If two holes are strong, then 12 holes MUST be stronger. . .Right? Tim Mason shows us what he's been up to on his Dragonfly project. . . and perhaps displays a bit of Confirmation bias. You be the judge.
